Well, you know, the interesting thing there, I think, we were struggling offensively in the first half; both teams were. The second half wasn’t a whole lot better, except when we got (Josh) Oglesby going early.
- M. Basketball. 18-5 2nd Half Run Lifts Iowa
An 18-5 run midway through the second half propelled the University of Iowa men’s basketball team to a 62-53 victory over Nebraska on Wednesday night at the Bob Devaney Center.
- M. Tennis. Dunn, Swank Defeat Ranked Doubles Opponent
The University of Iowa men’s tennis team was defeated by No. 43 Drake 7-0 on Wednesday evening at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
- W. Tennis. Hawkeyes Set to Play Nationally Ranked Foes
The University of Iowa women’s tennis team takes on two nationally ranked opponents this weekend. The Hawkeyes travel to South Bend, Ind. to play No. 17 Nortre Dame (8-3) on Friday at 2:30 p.m. (CT), before returning to the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex to face No. 36 DePaul (9-3) on Sunday at 10 a.m. (CT). - Track. Hawkeyes Head to Last Chance Qualifier
The University of Iowa track and field team will send athletes to the Alex Wilson Indoor Track and Field Invitational in South Bend, Ind., and Iowa State Qualifier in Ames, Iowa, this weekend. The events mark the final chance to earn automatic qualifing times for the NCAA Championships.

University of Iowa junior Kathleen McGraw keeps building to her resume. McGraw has been selected to the U21 National Team.
- Football. Cook on NFF Hall of Fame Ballot
Former University of Iowa tight end and NFL All-Pro Marv Cook is one of 76 former players and eight coaches who comprise the 2012 Football Bowl Subdivision Ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.
- W. Swimming. Hawkeyes Earn Scholar All-America Team Honor
The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving team was named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division I Scholar All-America team for fall 2011.
- Track. Doris, Sowinski Earn All-Big Ten Honors
University of Iowa seniors Troy Doris and Erik Sowinski earned first team All-Big Ten honors following their performances at the 2012 Big Ten Indoor Championships last week. The Big Ten announced the all-conference honors Tuesday.
- M. Swimming. 7 Hawkeyes Qualify for U.S. Olympic Trials
Seven University of Iowa men’s swimmers posted U.S. Olympic Trial qualifying times at the Hawkeye/Big Ten Long Course qualifier, which was held Feb. 26 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Pool.
- M. Gymnastics. No. 12 Hawkeyes to Face No. 6 Minnesota and Brockport
The No. 12 University of Iowa men’s gymnastics team will compete in a tri-meet against Minnesota and Brockport on Saturday in Minneapolis. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. (CT) inside the Sports Pavilion. The event will be televised on tape delay by BTN on March 10th at 3:30 p.m. (CT).
- Softball. Hawkeyes Bound for Oklahoma
The University of Iowa softball team heads to the Sooner State this weekend for four games. The Hawkeyes will play No. 23 Oklahoma State and No. 8/9 Oklahoma twice in three days.
