University of Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder will gather with media Wednesday in the press room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
- W. Soccer. Soccer Announes Spring Schedule
Head coach Ron Rainey and the University of Iowa women’s soccer team will play seven matches between March 3 and April 28. The Hawkeyes will host four contests, including a spring version of the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge.

Five University of Iowa women’s basketball players – Morgan Johnson, Jaime Printy, Kamille Wahlin, Samantha Logic and Kelly Krei – have received All-Big Ten recognition, the conference announced Monday evening.
- Football. Greg Davis Named Iowa’s Offensive Coordinator
Greg Davis, who has 33 years of experience as a college football coach, has been named offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Iowa. The announcement was made Monday by head coach Kirk Ferentz.

The University of Iowa men’s basketball team has been enjoying a special run the last few weeks, and Danny Tyson is enjoying the experience right along with the Hawkeyes.
- W. Golf. Hawkeyes Set School Record
The University of Iowa women’s golf set a new school record score for 54-holes Monday at the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Ariz. The Hawkeyes finished the event with an 879 (290-294-295, +15), breaking the previous mark of 888 set at the Challenge at Onion Creek on Nov. 2-3, 2009. Iowa finished the Westbrook Spring Invitational tied for fifth out of 12 teams.
- Track. Nukuri Shines in Puerto Rico
Former University of Iowa cross country and track and field standout Diane Nukuri competed in the World’s Best 10K in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Feb. 26. Out of 9,287 competitors, Nukuri finished 40th overall and finished 11th among the women with at time of 33:39.
- Baseball. Kuebel Named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week
University of Iowa pitcher Sasha Kuebel has been named Big Ten co-Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Kuebel, a left-handed starter, garners his first career weekly honor.

- Wrestling. Big Ten Announces Preliminary Wrestling Seeds
University of Iowa junior Matt McDonough has been named the top preliminary seed at 125 pounds for this weekend’s Big Ten Wrestling Championships in West Lafayette, Ind. The preliminary seeds, announced today by Big Ten officials, are determined by a vote of conference head coaches. The official Big Ten tournament brackets will be set Friday afternoon.
- W. Basketball. Logic Honored by Big Ten For 3rd Straight Week
University of Iowa guard Samantha Logic has been named co-Big Ten Player and Big Ten Freshman of the Week after her performance in Iowa’s two wins last week. This is the third-straight week Logic has earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors. She has also been named co-Big Ten Player of the Week in two of the last three weeks.
- M. Tennis. Iowa to Face Pair of Ranked Foes
The University of Iowa men’s tennis team will compete against in-state rival Drake on Wednesday before beginning Big Ten play against Illinois on Sunday. The Drake match will begin at 6 p.m. (CT) inside the Roger Knapp Tennis Center in Des Moines. The Illinois match will begin at 2 p.m. (CT) at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex.
- M. Basketball. Matt Gatens tabbed Big Ten co-Player of the Week
University of Iowa senior Matt Gatens was named Big Ten co-Player of the Week along with Purdue’s Robbie Hummel. The honor is the first of Gatens’ career.
